Ovacık plateau offers a unique flora and fauna due to its untouched natural beauties. "Yılkı horses", i.e., jades or wild horses, roaming freely in herds in the mountains surrounding the plateau provide a magnificent visual beauty and occasionally accompany Efeler Way hikers. Emphasizing that the presence of wolves (colloquially known as monsters) in the mountains should not pose a threat to hikers and that all creatures should live in accordance with their own nature in their own habitats, wild horses were used in the Kiraz Ovacık plateau visual of the Efeler Way project. Efeler Way Friendly Establishment in the plateau is Merkez Köy Kahvesi (Central Coffee House), run by Cemil Şemet, who is also the village mukhtar (chief), and Efeler Way Friendly House is the house of Yunus Albayrak, the guide of the 14th and 15th stages of Efeler Way Culture Route.
