Nazarköy/Kemalpaşa

The production of "evil eye beads" in the village, formerly known as Kurudere, started in the 1940s when Arap Selim brought the art of glass processing to the village. The need for pine trees to melt glass in furnaces and the abundance of pine in the environment played an important role in the arrival and spread of this handicraft in the village. In order to contribute to the preservation and sustainability of evil eye bead production in the region, Efeler Yolu included the evil eye bead in the village logo and "the hands of a glass master holding evil eye beads in his palms" were visualized as the village seal. The Nazarköy seal was presented to the Uğurlu Boncuk, which made great contributions to the promotion of evil eye beads and the village. Another Efeler Way Friendly Establishment located in Nazarköy is Ali Dayı'nın Yörük Sofrası.
